Our Mission Is Simple
We’re determined to create the most enjoyable fitness experience ever. Period.
We know we haven’t thought of everything and we sincerely value your suggestions, which is why we’re completely transparent with what you’re asking for and what we’re doing about it.
2/16/20 - Off to a great start! Battle ropes seemed smaller + more awkward compared to "regular" ones.
We’re ordered another battle rope.
Battle ropes are made in different lengths, diameter, and weight. The rope we have is on the lighter side and you may have used ropes that are heavier/wider. Both styles are useful and train your body slightly differently.
A lighter rope enables you to generate more speed, and by focusing on keeping your torso as still as possible you get a great core workout and train your body to protect your spine.
A heavier rope works your upper body a little more and great for your shoulders and forearms/grip strength.
We chose to start out with a lighter rope since core stability is so important as a base for other exercises, but have ordered a heavier one for more workout options.
2/16/20 - Step by step instructions in the VR Room
We’ve started to put together instructions for using VR which should be ready by next week
We also offer a VR orientation class that you can schedule using the wellness living “achieve” client app. This is a 20 minute orientation to teach you the basics and show you a couple of games.
2/16/20 - Who do I call just in case I break something in the facility after hours and need maintenance?
Please call Robert Maybruch at 203-948-2726
We’ve posted business cards on the AED and at the front desk.
2/16/20 - Vending Machines (healthy snacks) , window tints or more lights, more seating in lounge.
-We hope to get Vending machines down the road, but don’t have a date.
-We will put up banners on the windows within a few months.
-We’d like the banners to be of our members so will take some time to accumulate great pictures!
-We will keep the lounge seating arrangement the same, but have extra folding chairs if needed.
-We want you comfortable, but also working a little! Standing is great for your health so if seating is tight, it’s a nice excuse to challenge your standing stamina!
2/16/20 - You should get lockers/cubbies (2 votes)
We’re working to find a locker vendor we trust, but don’t have an idea of when any might get installed.
We purchased cubbies prior to opening , but weren’t satisfied with their quality so decided not to use them. We are taking some time to evaluate different options, but for now there are hooks to hang bags and jackets, or you may leave your things at the front desk.
2/17/20 - Include a rest time in the workout of the day (WOD) and consider adding a time limit for added challenge/motivation.
Great idea! We’ll added our suggested rest time between sets and a couple times per week we’ll add a “bonus challenge” to the WOD. Here’s our first one –
2/17/20 - Put signs on bathroom doors that say "open slowly" and put door stoppers on them so the handle doesn't hit the wall.
We put up the signs and ordered door stoppers.
